New Years Nails- 2013

 I've seen that a lot of people have been going for a black nail with an ombre of gold glitter coming down from the cuticle or the tip, so inspired by the colours I have painted my nails for this upcoming new years.

This is the look I will be achieving:

(all products will be listed at the end of this tutorial)

Step one: take off any current nail polish residue

Step two: file nails to the appropriate length (also attend to cuticles if necessary)

Step three: apply your favourite base coat

Step four: using your favourite gold polish, apply 1-3 coats depending on the coverage given

Step five: using a nail brush with black polish or a black nail art striper, create a french tip- leave one nail without this on each hand

Step six: using any black nail rhinestones, apply these to the tip of the nail using the instructions included with the gems

Step seven: apply your favourite top coat to seal in the nail polish and colour

Step eight: using a nail corrector pen or cue-tip dipped in remover, erase any unwanted polish from the sides of the nail (if necessary)

You can now go out and party with your new painted nails!
